How Minecraft: Java Edition runs on the GeForce GTX 1060 6GB

Our estimate puts the GeForce GTX 1060 6GB at about 169 fps on High at 1080p in Minecraft: Java Edition, which means it runs comfortably. On Low the same card manages about 300+ fps, and on Ultra about 122.

The graphics card is the limit here, so lowering the resolution or the quality preset is what raises your frame rate.

For a steady 60 fps, our estimate says: 1080p: Ultra (about 122 fps); 1440p: Ultra (about 88 fps); 4K: High (about 68 fps).

Settings advice

Minecraft: Java Edition lists 4 GB of RAM (recommending 4 GB) and a processor of the Core i5-4690 class. Our estimate assumes a processor that does not limit the GeForce GTX 1060 6GB, so enter yours in the checker above if it is older than that.

For reference, the next card up in our list, the GeForce GTX 1660 Super, is estimated at 225 fps on High at 1080p, so you have room to raise settings or resolution on the GeForce GTX 1060 6GB.
