Pick your hardware

Choose a game, a graphics card and a processor to see your estimate.

How the checker works

Type the name of a game, then your graphics card. Adding your processor and memory makes the answer more accurate, because a slow processor or too little RAM can hold back a fast card. The result appears on the right: a verdict, the estimated fps, a frame-time graph, a table from Low to Ultra at three resolutions, and what to do if the game does not run well.

If you do not know your graphics card, press Detect. Your browser reports the name of the card it is using, and we match it to our list on your device. Nothing is uploaded. On laptops with two graphics chips the browser may report the weaker one, so check the name before you trust it.

What the verdicts mean

The verdict comes from the estimated frame rate on High at 1080p. 90 or more is great, 60 or more is good, 40 or more is playable, and under that you will want Low or Medium. If your RAM is below the game's stated minimum, or even Low settings fall under 25 fps, the answer is no, whatever the graphics card says.

We compare your parts with the publisher's minimum and recommended hardware, and also with what we estimate it takes to hold 60 fps at 1080p, 1440p and 4K. On each game page you will find those targets in one table, so you can see how far your PC is from each level.

If the result says no

Look at the line under the verdict. It names what limits you. If it is the graphics card, lowering the resolution and turning on upscaling (DLSS, FSR or XeSS, where the game supports them) usually gains the most. If it is video memory, lower the texture setting first; it costs very little visual quality. If it is the processor, lowering graphics settings will not help much, and a faster CPU or a lower crowd or view distance setting will.

If it is memory, adding RAM is the cheapest fix in this whole hobby. Going from 8 GB to 16 GB costs little and removes a hard stop in many newer games.

Common mistakes

Picking the wrong edition is the most common one. Some games exist in an original and an upgraded version with very different demands, and we list them separately. Laptop cards are the second: a laptop RTX 4060 is slower than the desktop RTX 4060, so choose the laptop entry if you have one. The third is trusting an average without looking at video memory, which is why the result tells you when memory is the limit.
