Estimated average fps by resolution and preset.
Our estimate puts the Radeon RX 7800 XT at about 300+ fps on High at 1080p in Fortnite, which means it runs comfortably. On Low the same card manages about 300+ fps, and on Ultra about 300+.
The graphics card is the limit here, so lowering the resolution or the quality preset is what raises your frame rate.
For a steady 60 fps, our estimate says: 1080p: Ultra (about 300+ fps); 1440p: Ultra (about 247 fps); 4K: Ultra (about 137 fps).
Fortnite lists 6 GB of RAM (recommending 16 GB) and a processor of the Core i5-7300U 3.5 GHz class. Our estimate assumes a processor that does not limit the Radeon RX 7800 XT, so enter yours in the checker above if it is older than that.
For reference, the next card up in our list, the GeForce RTX 3080, is estimated at 300+ fps on High at 1080p, so you have room to raise settings or resolution on the Radeon RX 7800 XT.
Our estimate is about 300+ fps on High at 1080p, and about 300+ fps on Low. Verdict: Yes, runs great.
At 1080p, Ultra holds about 300+ fps. At 1440p, Ultra holds 60 fps. Even 4K is possible on Ultra.
Fortnite lists 6 GB as its minimum and recommends 16 GB. The graphics card does not change that: with less memory than the minimum the game can stutter or fail to start whatever card you have.
